“Performing Anatomies" collection— custom-trained AI model. This model has been trained using diverse bodily poses, daily actions, and the distinctive aesthetic reminiscent of the 1970s era.I think of the works as “microcosmic performances" extracted from the fabric of daily existence. Each piece encapsulates mundane moments and familiar scenarios, seamlessly weaving together domestic interiors and outdoor settings. While universally relatable, these depictions are elevated by a nuanced interplay of wit and irony, infusing them with a distinctive flavor. As an artist with a strong background in choreography and performance art, I explore the essence of movement as an algorithm, marrying my knowledge in physical performance with the intricacies of code. This dynamic interplay across mediums allows for a continual flow of ideas, influencing the conception and implementation of movement across both my IRL performances and my digital works.Through this series of works, the simulated characters come to life fully immersed in a perpetual dance, their movements fluid and dynamic, invite the viewer to actively engage. The scenes play out as vivid manifestations of never-ending motion, set against environments reminiscent of site-specific performances.With this body of work, I embark on a dual journey. Initially, these pieces serve as preliminary sketches, laying the foundation for future live performance and video installations. 2023If we think of the images that we mostly see on the internet, most of them are trying to tell us how beautiful everything is. So most of the time people look for a form of reality which is perfect, but does not exist, of course.My images are fictional in the sense that I am creating non-existent imagery using trained artificial intelligence models to synthesize new images. They are my personal interpretation which is exaggerated if you like, because unless you are not putting a twist into the images, you’re not really getting interesting results.𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀 is a collection of such synthographs which serve as a distorted reflection of the world young generations experience, as part of the profound impact of the digital world which shapes our perception in the information age. I feel I have a certain responsibility as a contemporary artist and that is to reflect the times that we live in, aligned with my personal response to it.𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

BOBO - performance

‘bobo’ is an unusual performance piece where a body builder obsessively poses and shows off his body and muscle power. The performance unfolds parallel to Tchaikovsky’s classical music piece Op.71-Pas De Deux from 'The Nutcracker’. The use of the body builder, his extreme posing and facial expressions is set to accentuate the meaning of self-image competition and give an ironic reading and burlesque view of the act of posing.
